Birthdays & Babies!

I don’t know about you, but I catch myself quoting & acting like my mom all the time (like ALL) – from the way I say hello when I get home or even how I love to rock my gym clothes all the time (even when I know I won’t be going to the gym)! I am my mothers daughter & I am dang proud of it!

Anywho, I have two special momma occasions today so this post is only fitting!

First off, it is my mother in-laws birthday! Yippie, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MOMMA W! It is a big one, so if you see her, make sure to give her a big hug & wish her a happy day!

Second, one of my dear friends is about to become a momma! She is currently at the hospital about to have her baby boy – well, we are crossing our fingers it happens today! I am sending all my positive vibes her way.

Happy day to two special ladies! xoxo

Happy 6th Birthday To My Baby Boy Bubby!

final bubby

The love of my life & the light of my world, Bubby (you too hub)! Seriously, I do not know where I would be without my pup by my side. He brings me to smiles all day long, comforts me, protects me & really is one of the best things in my life.

Happy Happy Birthday Bubby! To another 6 years 🙂

OMG Overload Cookies

Healthy…eh, not when you have four like me. Drool-worthy…yes, absolutely…so worth every calorie! Which makes them dangerous in any household – the batter alone had me at hello.

  • Preheat oven to 350degrees
  • Mix: 1/4C Earth Balance original butter, 1/2C packed brown sugar, 1/3C granulated sugar, 1t cinnamon, 1/2t baking soda and 1/8t salt
  • Once the above is mixed add 1egg & 1t vanilla – blend
  • Beat in 3/4C flour & 3/4C oatmeal, then 1/4C of each of the following:  flaxseed meal, wheat germ, dark chocolate chips, dried cranberries & chopped walnuts – use your muscles and mix it up! If dough becomes crumbly begin to use your hands
  • Use spoon or your hands again to form ball & place on cookie sheet topped with parchment paper
  • Bake for 9-11minutes
  • Let cool on wire rack & taste one warm…mmmm

I made these for our buddies 30th bday party tomorrow night & he is going to be one lucky guy if any of these survive the night….Enjoy!

I am a proud aunt, sister  & sis-in law today!  My bro & his wife just added the latest addition to our ever growing family – Marissa Saturnina Lillis.  She is a slice of pure perfection.

The hub & I had the chance to meet her on her first day of existence! We were on our drive back from Florida when we got the news – cut our trip short and drove straight to the babe!  My sister-in law is a rockstar & deserve major props!

This lil’ Lillis is going to get a whole heck of attention over the holidays & for the rest of her life!! Can not wait to hold her again!

xoxo Aunt A

update…she is still an angel & the cutest thing you have ever seen!
